Today's Lunch Menu includes:  Chicken Tenders, Kung Pao Chicken Wrap, Chicken Fillet Sandwich, Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, or California Wrap.

   All students must have parking permits to park in the student parking lot. Vehicles without permits will be given a warning and then are subject to be towed thereafter. Parking Permits cost $40 for the year or $25 per semester!

   If there is still an FBLA member that wants to attend the Fall Motivational Rally & Fair in Perry on Thursday Oct. 14th please see Mrs. Brown TODAY.   This date is a student holiday and the cost is $30.

Juniors & Seniors who signed up to attend the Columbus State University recruitment conference you will be called by intercom at 1:30 THIS afternoon.   Teachers please excuse the students listed on the email Mr. Ryce sent out.

MAHS TSA meets after school TODAY from 3 - 4 in room 804 on the Silver Hall!

 We will have our first FCCLA meeting TODAY at 3:00 in Mrs. Sizemore's room.

  There will be a CANE AP Society start-up meeting TODAY from 3-3:30 pm in the media center.  Any student who is taking an AP course during either the fall or spring semester of this year is invited to participate in this social organization.  See Mrs. Kuhn for additional information.

  There will be a Student Council meeting for OFFICERS after school Thursday in Ms. Williams' room 806 on the Silver Hall.  We will discuss upcoming Homecoming festivities.

 Any student wishing to run for HOSA officer from Monroe Area needs to pick up an application from Mrs. Walker in room 231.   These much be signed by parents after completion & turned in by Friday Sept. 10th at 3:30.  We will vote on officers on Thursday Sept. 16th.

Are you a leader? Are you interested in business? Future Business Leaders of America may be for you.  Dues are now $15 or $25 which will include a club tshirt. See Mrs. Tricia Brown or any business teacher.

Let's can Hunger! Bring your cans of food or money during Lunch for FISH.   Anchor Club will post a fish in your honor for your donation.  Let's decorate the cafeteria with FISH to show the community that HURRICANES care!

The first College Crew meeting will be Tuesday September 14th.

FBLA's September Community Service project is to assist Bears & Blankets. Members are asked to bring in a NEW or like new stuffed animal or a NEW baby blanket by Sept. 24th.

Seniors, the annual Probe College Fair will be Sept. 29th at Loganville High School. Colleges from all over Georgia and some surrounding states will be in attendance. Please see your counselors or Mr. Ryce for a permission slip to attend. This is for Seniors Only!

It's not too late to join HOSA, the only totally Healthcare organization at Monroe Area.  Dues are $20.00 and should be turned in to Mrs. Walker by Sept. 30th.

Attention juniors: If you wish to get a deal on your prom tickets they will go on sale for $65.00 starting September 13th until December 15th.  Starting January 11th dues will increase to $80.00 until April 1st.  After April 1st dues will become $100.00.  All money must be paid by April 29, 2010 or you will not be allowed to attend the prom.  Pay early and get the great price of $65.00.  All checks should be made out to MAHS.

Seniors:  If you did not pay your dues last year.  Your price will be $100.00 and will no longer be accepted after April 29, 2011.  See Ms. Mims' Website for information concerning the prom and guest tickets.  The prom is May 7th at the Classic Center in Athens.  More details will be available later.  Pay now to avoid any conflicts!

Congratulations to the Girls Softball team for their 2-1 victory over Gainesville yesterday!  All softball players MUST have their progress reports turned in TODAY before practice, to Coach Bowling in room 203!

The Neff dealer will be here TODAY during all lunches. Anyone wanting to order a letter Jacket please plan on coming by.

TODAY the Volley Canes are at home to face Oconee County and Lanier.  Games begin at 5 & 7.

Young ladies who are trying out for basketball & are NOT in a FALL Sport conditioning will start THURSDAY (not Wednesday).  You must have a current physical on file.  Meet in Coach Mansour's room after school at 3:00 Thursday.

Thursday the VolleyCanes will travel to Loganville - Match begins at 5.  The Softball Canes will play at Lanier - Game begins at 5:30. 

The 9th Grade Football team will HOST Walnut Grove.  Their game will begin at 5:30.

Anyone interested in being a Football Manager - please see Coach Fligg ASAP - the football teams needs DEDICATED managers!
