Coordinator/ Running Backs David Keyes- Assistant HC/ Defensive Line Doug Swain- Receivers John Cooksey- Assistant 9th grade Johnny Evans- Assistant   THE MONROE AREA HURRICANES FINISHED THE SEASON WITH A 12-2 RECORD AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY REACHED THE FINAL 4 SEMI-FINALS OF THE AAAA STATE PLAYOFFS The Canes beat Shaw 21-14 in the first round, Grady 21-20 in the second round, South Effingham 47-8 in the third round before losing to eventual State Champion Sandy Creek in the finals. The players and my coaches did an excellent job all year and our seniors led us as far as any Monroe Area team ever !!!
