Greetings and welcome to Monroe Area High School's Freshmen Academy!

The Freshman Academy serves all freshmen at MAHS. We provide extra support for the 9th graders in their transition from middle school to high school through a designated assistant principal, Mr. Fred Tumner, counselor, Mr. Bruce Perry, and teachers who want to help students with this major change in their lives and education. All true-freshmen will have the same group of core teachers for English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

MAHS has been organized so that all core Academy classes are located on the Blue Hall, along with the assistant principal's office. The Freshmen Academy understands that the transition from middle to high school creates a new challenge with freedom and choices that are new and at times difficult to make.  It is our goal to have our entire freshman class graduate from MAHS so they can become socially responsible, hard-working, and knowledgeable citizens.

Please come by and check us out! We are here to help all of our students to develop in all aspects of their lives from academics, to work ethics, to decision making. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Feel free to contact the Freshman Academy Office at 770-266-4586, or any teachers via email.
